Look I understand this perspective but as a country this is pathetic. We are such a successful country in everything we do, and soccer is something that we just haven’t had the results, but why aren’t we optimistic? Excited to watch our team hopefully succeed?

I think the missing ingredient for Japan is physicality.They lose a lot of duels via the means. It’s concerning enough that it tilt games against their favour significantly at a higher level such as a WC.
